7-Day Program: Athens, Corinth, and 4-day Cruise

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN ATHENS

  • Welcome to Athens! Upon your arrival, meet your guide and start a panoramic tour of the highlights of the city. Continue with a visit to the Acropolis with the famous Parthenon temple and Mars’ Hill.

    • DAY 2: ANCIENT CORINTH – CENCHREA

  • Our morning excursion out of Athens takes us by the Saronic Gulf via the historic Corinthian Canal, to Ancient Corinth (Acts 18:1-18). Visit the archaeological site and museum as well as all the points of interest associated with Paul’s ministry. On our way back to Athens, we will pass by the ancient port of Cenchrea, from where the Apostle Paul sailed to Ephesus (Acts 18:18-19).

    • DAY 3: EMBARK CRUISE – MYKONOS

  • In the morning, transfer to the port of Lavrion for our 4-day Cruise to the Greek islands and Turkey. At 6:00 p.m., arrive in Mykonos and stroll on your own through the whitewashed, flower-decked alleyways, climbing to the church of Paraportiani or along the waterfront of “Little Venice” to the famous windmills. Sail for Kusadasi, Turkey at 11:00 p.m.

    • DAY 4: KUSADASI (EPHESUS) – PATMOS

  • At 7:00 a.m., we dock at Kusadasi in Turkey, the starting point for our excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus (Acts 18:19-21). The Apostle Paul preached to the Ephesians and lived here for three years. We tour the spectacular ruins where excavations still continue in this once great city.
  • At 1.00 p.m., sail for Patmos, Greece (Revelation 1:9) and upon arrival enjoy an optional tour to the Monastery of John the Evangelist and the Grotto of the Revelation. Return to the ship and sail for Rhodes at 9:30 p.m.

    • DAY 5: RHODES

  • Visit the ruins of the Acropolis of Lindos with the ancient Temple of Athena. Local tradition has it that on his way to Rome, Paul’s vessels spent some time here in the small harbor (Acts 21:1). Walk through the D’Amboise Gate to the Street of the Knights. Lunch onboard. Sail for Heraklion, Crete at 6:00 p.m.

    • DAY 6: CRETE – SANTORINI

  • Early morning arrival at the port of Heraklion in Crete. Optional tour to Knossos, the center of the ancient Minoan civilization and legendary home of the Minotaur. In the afternoon, ride the cable car up to the white-washed town of Thera, perched high on the rim of the ancient volcano. Stroll through the cliff-hanging villages and admire the breathtaking views. At 9:30 p.m., set sail for the port of Lavrion, Athens.

    • DAY 7: ATHENS DEPARTURE

  • In the morning, disembark and meet with our representative for an escorted transfer to Athens International Airport for your flight home.

    • 10-Day Program: Footsteps of Paul and 3-Day Cruise

    DAY 1: WEDNESDAY - ARRIVE ATHENS, GREECE

    Arrive at Athens Airport where you will meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Travel in time, exploring a city with a history dating over 5,000 years!

    DAY 2: THURSDAY – ATHENS & CORINTH

    Depart for a morning tour out of Athens. After, climb up the Acropolis Hill to see the famous Parthenon and Erectheion temples and the spectacular views of Athens below. Then walk to nearby Mars’ Hill where the Apostle Paul spoke to the Athenians about the one and only God. Our tour will finish with a panoramic bus tour to see the city highlights.

    DAY 3: FRIDAY - CRUISE TO MYKONOS

    Morning transfer to the port of Lavrion to embark on your Greek Island cruise. Sail at 1.00 p.m. and enjoy lunch onboard. Our first port of call is Mykonos at 6.00 pm, where we have free time for walking and exploring the town.

    DAY 4: SATURDAY - KUSADASI (TURKEY) - PATMOS (GREECE)

    Arrive at Kusadasi port in Turkey at 7.00 am. This is the starting point for our tour to Ancient Ephesus. We tour the spectacular ruins in the city founded in the 10th century B.C. After the visit, we return to the port for re-embarkation at lunchtime and sail to Patmos. Arrive in Patmos in the afternoon and enjoy an optional tour to the Monastery of John the Evangelist where he was exiled and wrote the Book of Revelation.

    DAY 5: SUNDAY - CRETE & SANTORINI

    At 7.00 a.m. we arrive in Heraklion, Crete (Acts 27:7-13). You can join the optional excursion to the Minoan Palace of Knossos. After the tour, we sail for Santorini at 12.00 pm, the island with the most magnificent landscape!

    DAY 6: MONDAY - ATHENS - METEORA MONASTERIES - KALAMBAKA

    Disembark after breakfast on board. Meet the local guide and board the bus for a journey to Central & Northern Greece!

    DAY 7: TUESDAY - BEREA - THESSALONICA

    We depart from Kalambaka and continue our journey to Thessalonica. On our way we will stop in Berea to see the mosaic monument commemorating the Apostle Paul’s preaching. Enjoy the evening at your own leisure. Take a walk by the seaside and explore the beautiful city center.

    DAY 8: WEDNESDAY – PHILIPPI – KAVALA

    In the morning, we start our city tour of Thessalonica. We see the Old City Walls, the White Tower, Galerius Arch and the Rotunda. Continue with a drive to Philippi, where the Apostle Paul established a strong church and sent his letter. After the visit, we continue to Kavala, the ancient port of Neapolis.

    DAY 9: THURSDAY – THESSALONICA – ATHENS

    Today we commence our enchanting drive back to Athens passing by Tempi Valley and Katerini where we gaze upon Mount Olympus, home of the 12 ancient Greek gods. Farewell group dinner will be provided at the hotel in Athens.

    DAY 10: FRIDAY – ATHENS DEPARTURE

    As you reflect on these past few days, full of history and spiritual inspiration, you will be transferred to Athens International Airport for your flight home.
